RESIDENCE

This property in Burnley was in need of a renovation at the rear, to repair movement damage. The proposed alterations were to create an open plan living area with a direct connection to the rear yard open space, whilst bringing the laundry inside. A master bedroom with a study area and ensuite was added by constructing a small second storey area over the new addition.

A heritage overlay on the site had to be taken into consideration, but by locating the upper level to the rear, the extension was able to incorporate a more modern form and selection of materials.

The implementation of a large fixed window to the first floor master bedroom ensures maximum solar access, along with a great outlook over the surrounding area.

Natural products such as timber flooring & stairs along with a stone benchtop creates a sleek modern feel.
